A Wish!

My eyes had stopped…
on having perceived that smile of yours!
Eyes that were looking out for…
some faith trust and Love around!
Disappointed! I found solace and Hope…
in your gleaming Smile!

How my heart had stopped,
When I had felt…
the adrenaline rush of happiness in me!
Engulfed in some kind of Peace
Never having felt before!

The blush that spread on my face
released a pool of emotions unknown!
Would I ever bath in Rain of Love,
When his eyes full of Love, Compassion and Warmth
Would fall on me, to release the Dove!

I don’t know if dreams materialize or not…
The only thing I wish is:
May the Life of Soulful Smiles,
be punctuated with Smile forever!

INDIA: THEN and NOW!

They say Dreams are not Real…
And, that it’s an illusion we live in!
Would it have been possible,
to think of our Independence,
Of India being free, had not…
the HEROES of our HISTORY
dreamed of freeing it, from the British rule…

What kind of passion burned in them…
That made them so alive and different!
As in when, their name echoes in our mind’s eye
Flashing the story of their undying courage!
Death: A celebration in them...

Laying up their life, they might have said:

  “Never give up, My Countrymen!
   Fight for your MOTHER LAND,
   Your Battle a different kind!
   STAND UP and fight...
   Let everyone know, your BATTLE is no LESS!"
  

 In the69^th year of Independence
It’s time to stand up for what they gave us
The gift of fresh free air…
Which as post-modernist, we give our LOVE...
to something as sordid as “Money”!

The rich growing richer, the poor the poorer
And, the middle class existing in name only!
What kind of life are we living:
Are we Dead or Alive!
Devoid of Love and Compassion...
We have lot to complain about!

Why can't WE be like those HEROES?
And, DREAM of INDIA FREE from:
CORRUPTION, POVERTY, RELIGIOUS UNREST all along!

In DREAMS that they had longed for...
Tri-colour breathing and soaring in the blue sky!
The gift of FREEDOM and SOLIDARITY.

Let's stand together and be HEROES of REAL LIFE now!

Let US stand for what our HEROES stood for,
Freeing India from False passion!
And, DREAM of INDIA
FREE from any kind of MALICE...

While, LOVE, COMPASSION and PEACE,
RULE the HEART of all!
