Afternoon Dream on 18/02/2016

 Sleeping! feeling loved…
waking up to stampede all around
child, mother all a chaotic cry to be heard
One tries to wake up, but in vain!
 Cycle is handed out,
a girl rides and find corpse
of monkey and cattle’s all around
“What was it that caused the stampede?” she asks!
“The answer was, ambition of some opulent thus!"

Job see perceives of doing,
bringing the class alive with her words
yet she is not paid for the hard work she does!
Smile is what one perceives
of punctuating her lovely face, alas!

She climbs the spiral staircase confidently
Visible at times, invisible she appears!
Moving towards a man she intends to kill
yet, fear grips the man…
and he hangs himself to the rooftop of its own building!\
Afternoon dreams are absurd
Begins with Love and ends with death all around!

Unworldly Pauper: the Soul!

As the soul opens up to the world
it doesn’t discriminate, between anything
for good-evil, rich-poor are all arbitrary terms
Living in the ritual is what the soul has learned!

Friends a flickering co-traveler
unreal real, immersed in worldly show!
Did the soul expect anything back
“No,” for love is free flow and for everyone!

A bowl of food in unpolished bowl it’s given
the soul mocks at its observation…
Lovingly it says, “Are you going to eat the bowl
or receive the love of mother earth present in the bowl!

On having traveled long, it reaches home
trying to relax in some soul searching visual.
The mother showering it with slaps and sticks
but, does the soul complains, “No!”
Love lovingly portrays, amidst smiles and tears!

Evening memorable dawns,
breaking the ice within!
Blessings of enlightened soul
Pauper, Unworldly or both: thus it calls itself!

Lovely Awakening!

 They say when One dreams
One can’t sleep!
Living the dream, adventure as if...

Reading, Re- reading butterfly as if some
perching in the inner eye
A ride, to open up the doorways of treasures somewhere...
 Traveling in time zone,
smooth if one falls in Love with it...
igniting the fire, a light that glows from within!

Tools appear of their own accord
the passion at the service says
“Hey Bella! Here it is!”
 Loving passion,
Passion, a longing it is!
A Company hard to leave,
lest it gets lost in some abyss!

Technical cliche are all to be fallen in love with
No ifs and no buts, hold on Dearie
we will soon be there. Often it says to thee!

A Love! A Dream! A Vision to hold on!
Yet, the very moment to feel alive
is all that One is blissful in!

The Legend of Parshu-Raam by Dr. Vineet Aggarwal: A Critical Review

When one reads a neatly-woven novel, like Vishwamitra written by Dr. Vineet Aggarwal, with which one cannot disengage with and runs in a flow. The expectation looms large when the second work of his makes an appearance. The story is just not about the Legend Parshuram, its also about two other heroes: Rishi Yamdagni and Chandravanshi emperor Arjun. Unfortunately, the writer who showed much potential with his first novel isnt able to justify the place of these two heroes, in his second work. The first half of the book tells the story of his brother Yamdagni and the Chandravanshi emperor Arjun with lot of abstract information on history and geography, which could have been done away with. It breaks the natural flow of the reading, as well could have been the possible barrier when one is a natural writer. First few Adhyayae or Chapters, in the book, jump from one thing to another, reminding one of the frogs. Lack of coherence, makes the journey of the reader sluggish. The first half one can look forward to beautiful observation on life, description of the food and appearance as well. He is good in detailing that and one needs patience of an angler, until one reaches the second half.

The second half is what one should look forward to and runs in a flow.  One would marvel at the way he writes the second half, and one broods if the first half was written by the same person. Neatly woven, he shows the evolution of the Legend, with perfection: Parshu-Raam. Parshu-Raam pursued well in the second half, with his awakening of the soul and detailing of gory fights which the writer brings alive with his words. The conflict in emotion, turmoil and agony that the protagonist and the character around him go through makes the reading a smooth sail. It ends well! Hope he thinks of reaching more readers, when he writes his third. Wishing him a ‘coherent writing’ and ‘Being’ ahead!

Deja vu

Is life echo and re-echo of that happens around us?
A repetition of cycle, as if what is happening around
has happened before,
sequences with just a little enhancement!

All things being the same
save for one heading towards void
A feeling of lost, accompanying all
Or, is it some kind of call!

When the burst comes from within
As one perceives of  the happenings all around
Seeing and unseeing, comprehending everything…
yet finding convenience in remaining silent!

Truth of that awareness being painful
Feeling enough to drive one insane!
A dream as if having perceived-forgotten
to be retained, as it makes its appearance again!

The intensity of those repetitions so strong at times
Goose-bumps, shivers they engulf one in!
Feeling, as if one had stood still
while, it’s the time that has made the run.

Snapping out and returning to the present
is the only way to come alive.
Breathing deep and exhaling
is the only way to gather up the senses!

Life in circle, square or free space, one does perceive
a feeling of being nowhere that exist!
Happening though one becomes aware of,
yet it happens and will happen once again!
