Smile

 A smile on a face, heals lot of pain
Has humane known that, or is completely unaware
When did I come to know of this magic;
“An Angel of Angelic school, crowned me the gift of it!”

Still unaware, the next six years was turmoil
and, I lost my Smile!
Until another Angel appeared and said:
“Hey! Arati, it’s just under your nose,
Spread, it a little and it will be there!”

Life a punctuation of curve up and down it had been,
Until Life stroked with thunderbolt,
leaving as dazzled, as one can feel!
Didn’t know what it was, for it took time to realize
That Love itself is a beautiful soulful Smile!

 

Substitute there could never be any
Speculation though there could be many.
Love doesn’t have any distinction,
but, when it finds its way through the curve,
it will always remain special!

29Dec,2015 Morning walk!

 My playful father woke me up,

irrespective of what time I would have slept at night.

Unable to sleep back, woke up and got ready for the walk.

They having already left early, I was 15 minutes behind them.

Saw Sun in between the Y of a tree, (Yo-Yoism)

The tree and its bark clear.

Drongo sitting on the Star symbol on a church

Facing west, looked towards me at east

Comfortable twisting its neck!

Drongo and Parakeets calling each other

They made my heart in mirth

Every time my heart tried to search them

They seem to make an appearance!

Drongo was tweaking alone

Yet, I could hear in the humdrum.

Probably, giving the message,

Always listen to the inner voice,

keeping calmness intact.

Crow in 5 numbers were as if patrolling the sky

Red whiskered bulbul,

saw them with three drongos perched in a line.

Parakeets calling me, why don’t you stop!

But, the thought of becoming an inconvenience to my parents

Forced me to walk.

For few seconds I felt a deadly silence

And, then saw white cross in the blue sky,

made by jet in winter’s blue sky,

It reminded me of Jesus Christ, no doubt!

Was it a promise of eternal life!

A symbol of purity and holiness!

Blinded I felt again, but the moment was less this time.

Two eagles were fighting with each other, oh what a sight!

Cattle egret became conscious of me watching it

so it turned around, watched me close by!

Don’t know what is it that I have with birds

But, they definitely are messenger of Sky!

Morning walk: 5Jan, 2016

Jungle babblers have come to visit me today,
As I stepped out of my house they fluttered near me
And, showed me the direction of perching carefully each and every window
Settling down on the third window of north west direction.

I still can’t comprehend, what is it that it wanted to say!

Walking out the pigeon sitting in four turned to five, in a line
Pigeons a round they made, of the building while I left
A single circle to head towards north west!

Crow calling a usual sight…
Shiva temple, I take a bow, Halo of the holy I and P… I felt overhead!
An acknowledgment by birds I felt around!
checking on our weight, unbelievable it was!

“Kal bhairav,” a black dog appeared from nowhere!
And, on calling as it is known in front of the mother!
It disappeared in few seconds, I felt!

Cuckoo today was restless, flew from south west to north-east
North-west to north-east, finally made round of my head
And, disappeared in bush somewhere!
Cow was in a meditative trance,
acknowledged my presence in silence!

Barabet in single sat, observing everything around
All a curious glance, as if threw towards me I felt!
Hawk unable to perch in a single branch at the top
Was continually shifting I found!

Cattle egret, were not perched in their usual place
But, they drew their attention towards me
When they circled my head
and sat on a hoarding in great number I saw!
A meeting of some kind, or a judgment being passed!
Restless birds! Had left me restless I felt!

Healing Feathers!

Waking up to pain, crowned in thorn

A Walk! The only source of healing
Felt my heart, called out!
Slow and steady, I walked in complete silence
Knew the wings of the birds, a comfortable terrain!

 Jungle Babbers, babbled loud and clear,
Calling out, “Hey Vaidehi! What happened to you?”
Share everything that your heart wants to say…
From one to another tree they perched
welcoming me home, “Be anywhere you want!”

White-rumped Shama in couple were perched
in disagreement with some words, I felt!
Sweet it was though, when one followed the other
“Separate in forms, yet one in soul!Together!” 

Golden oriole a pleasant sight, in pair and single
Restless they were, I felt!
Felt like a toddler, walking with heavy foots
Pain shifting from left to right; balancing of some pain within!

 Parakeets in pair, swept in the sky
“Sweetheart, please listen to me!”
Felt the one calling the other
“There is nothing left to say. Leave me alone!” 

The hawks being chased away by the crow!
Don’t enter our terrain felt them scowl
Hawk mockingly kept making round suggesting
“the sky, the world, the entire universe is everyone’s
Make a distinction and be alone!”

 And, as one was nearing the home…
Ironically enough, a worldly song of Love was played out aloud:

“The day we met first, walking hand in hand...
Heart driven crazy, knew what Love was!”

Pigeon in pair, perched on medicine hoarding
suggested me to take some medicine.
The answer was still, “No!”
You all have given me everything, I want!

Kingfisher back was turned to me,
meditating on something I felt!
Though I tried to have a close look, perched near
Yet, I didn’t disturb it at all…
Accepting, everyone at times wants to be left alone!

 Though the pain still lurked somewhere in me,
Still shifting from left to right, I felt…
The wind kissed me and said,
“You will survive one more day, Sweetheart!”
