Lively Morning

Questions many had cropped up in mind,
the soul hoped a morning walk,
would answer it all!
As soon as, the soul walked out
red whiskered bulbul kept calling out
had soul's attention as it looked back, to adore!

Parakeets, three in flight, the soul observed
Chirping and heading to their abode!
Magpie robin, appeared only to disappear in bush
what a lively morning, the soul answered to itself!

It didn’t end here, a crow amidst pigeon it saw
imitating the pigeon, and trying to get along!
Surprised the soul was, does this happen too,
It's call, why should it be bothered at all!
Cuckoo, in single number it saw
crossing the way, swift in its flight, no doubt!

Jungle Prinia, in group they were…
What though was enchanting
was the playful pair of Drongo in air!

Kingfisher, an unusual sight it was
a speck of blue, amidst the green it shone!
Birds on tree of Life,
message as if had one:
Reach for the highest point
and be One!

Strange sight of crow, sitting alone this time,
retrospecting, rather than being with them in one line!
Barbet, after a long time, the soul noticed
where was it all these time,
the soul asked to itself!

While cattle egret, a fleeting glance it had
Nature in abundance, yet fleeting it was!

As the soul returned to its abode
magpie robin, took a path the soul had known!
A message strong as if it had left
a known path to be tread!

Have been alone for long
trying to have a better future for self!
Being self, waiting for none,
Maybe the soul has stopped expecting
expecting nothing, a gift, from those who were ever there!

Living each moment of the day
worrying nothing about what had become
or was ever to come....
