Having
lost half a day,
at the doorstep of Victoria Memorial, we stood!
A yearning of the soul,
at the doorstep of Victoria Memorial, we stood!
A yearning of the soul,
an experience, uncanny, at the gates, we had!
A dramatic entrance, with dark clouds around
ominous and omniscient, covering the sky!
Thunder clapping, sent shiver down the spine,
a play from past, as if had come alive!
Lion, two on either
side
strangeness they had of their own!
A narration hard to describe…
Eerie, uncanny feeling of weirdness had engulfed!
strangeness they had of their own!
A narration hard to describe…
Eerie, uncanny feeling of weirdness had engulfed!
Sitting on the throne,
A Queen, had taken center stage…
But, what was uncanny,
is the perching of crows, at her back!
A symbol of motherhood, justice and truth...
“Love,” great as her, people fondly spoke!
An epitome of elegance and courage
History as if had come alive, again!
“Love,” great as her, people fondly spoke!
An epitome of elegance and courage
History as if had come alive, again!
The statue of motherhood,
captivating and enchanting to the soul!
A journey inside,
restriction, they had many and of its own!
A walk in past it was as if
feeling bizarre at every turn and twist!
One visit wouldn’t be enough; to comprehend
Walk out and find your solace in Nature around!
Wildness, a flower captivated the soul
Flower bursting in many, a beauty of its own!
Amidst, pain and bitterness
Yet, smilingly, withstood!
The pond, transparent and pure,
reflecting and mirroring a tree at the opposite end!
Rain: not a drop, there was…
Feeling of uneasy, had stayed all along, the path!
Sparrow: a delight to heart,
One with Marble, it was…
Symbol of shyness and simplicity around!
Merrily, they had circled the soul!
Against the backdrop of dark clouds it stood
elegantly, an emblem of white and purity!
A journey, to the tunnel of the soul
light emanating with darkness around!
