Alone!

Fed up from the mundane world
Into the Nature I curled!
Morning golden Sun
amongst the cumulus, the One!
Spreads soothing aura around
into its arm, feeling crowned!

Barbet perched on a line
a curious frown I felt, a whine!
Cuckoo and Crow calling out:
“Hello! Where have you been, for so long?”

Amongst all this, a woman in uniform did I see
Protector who is, women empowerment it speak!
Two cows trying to lock horns
was there a lesson I needed to learn!

A call “tweak-ewe tweak-ewe,” I heard amongst the tree
Was it a baby child calling its mother, to set it free!
Crow a single, follows me as I walk
But, when I take a notice of it,
it perches far off, doesn't talk!

Joggers park full it was,
the road a lonely pause!
Cattle egret alighting in a group of ten
on a flowering red tree, “What a sight men!”
Sports bike I perceived six
thrilling, a colourful mix!

The usual morning walkers, retired they were I felt,
Politics, economics and mundane affairs they dealt!
And, as I moved further, “Mother” I called
Engulfing in it, I drawled!

Black Drongo sat poles apart,
small butterflies a part!
A pair of cuckoos did I perceive
Calling each other, lovingly received!
Screech of the eagle, was it that I heard
Parakeets around, I saw them whirred!

Monsoon has left the park lush
Green it was, a child’s brush!
Monarch making a way into it.
Why can’t I prolong a bit!
The glowing Sun had grown dull
Semblance of the evening, a null!

As I walked into the heart of my home
my mother delightfully said, “Well Done!”
