Intazaar / Awaiting

Intazaar:

 Tadaptay jab hum pyar mein,
anjan aur baiganay khud say.
Pyar khojatay thae hum
Yah taalash thi bas tumhari.

Aur aaj jab hum amnay-samnay
hokay bhi nehi hain!
Parchayiee tum mein,
kyu dikh jaati hai meray bachpan ki! 

Khud say anjaan ghumtay,
dhundatay rehtay thae tumhay
Jaanay kyu, haar kissi mein
Dikhtay thae bas tumhi!

Ehsaas agar tumko jo ho jaata
Duriyan hamari yeh mit jaati,
Mil jaatein hum abhi.
Aur dekhtay reh jaatay, yaha sabhi!

 Awaiting:
When in love and distress,
Unconscious of myself, trying to search Love
Was I really searching for Love
Or was it you, I have been waiting for all along.

And, when today we perceive each other
we still act ignoramus, the other doesn’t exist.
Reflection then why do I perceive,
of my childhood in you again.

Oblivious I used to wander
Hither and thither,
Don’t know what drove me to find you?
in everyone I met!

Had you been aware, of my feelings,
Distance there would not have been any
We would have come together.
While others perceived us baffled!
