Morning Love at Cuttack: 30/04/2016

Fluttering it wings,
Magpie Robin, a company the soul had...
Sometimes on tree, sometimes on ground,
What a sight to perceive!

As it fluttered it's wing like green bee eater
the soul perceiving it felt like a flower!
Shy and cosy,
the comfort of Nature, in Cuttack it is!

Purple heron in pair swam,
Feeling a soul observing it,
Distanced itself...
Crow acrobatics in morning breeze
Being chased by drongo, so sweet!

Nature, a beautiful weather
To punctuate it all...
Mahanadi as a company,
Solace it was...

Cuttack, beautiful Cuttack!
Soul in love with you
What more can it express!

Birds of Paradise: Bihar

A journey to paradise it was
burning hot days with colder nights!
 

Welcomed by long billed crows
rufous trepie in three called me out!

Jungle prinia chirpy they were,
Drongo in flights surprise it was!
 

A pleasant shock to behold
to witness Asian bird flycatcher fly past.
 

Blue robin, elusive they were
difficult to capture, shy they were!
But, to hold a sight of them for long
words are not enough to express!

Every single day to be called out by rufous trepie
while the crows circled around!
Leaving me scared at times
as if they have sighted "red meat alive!"

Asian open billed stork,
white and black waves in blue sky,
mirthful chirping of parakeets
was told they are more around here!

Sad the heart was to sight just a single sparrow
when the place used to throng with chirpy little hearts!
the reeling effect the soul had many,
in nature; dry and lost!
