Having spent two whole days in a cabin
devoid of air, water and sunlight
Skin rash,I had developed
which had spread to my hands and neck,
in fixed proportion!
Having felt unsettled at night...
Getting up early morning is a blessing
I thought I felt!
Stepping out of home,
soothing air welcomed me in its arms!
But darkness of the sky,
kept on threatening me...
to re-think and re-consider my walk!
The threat turned out to be a blessing
as rain started drizzling, and I covered my head
I knew, once I have begun nothing can stop me thus!
The rain as it touched my hands,
formed tiny bubbles and hung on my skin
healing me of all the rashes I had developed overnight!
While, taking refuge under the trees,
when it poured heavily time and again,
warning me again and again to return back home.
But, stubborn that I am,
I cried in my minds eye,
"Mother Earth! I need to meet you now!"
While, sheltering I noticed,
trees taking their bath
water streaming through them, as waterfalls…
I felt the breath of some venomous snake taking shelter too.
But, I knew it won't harm...
and was seeking the pleasure of rain too!
Moving forward in my walk
felt mother covered in soothing green...
She made me smile and blessed!
Making me feel light,
unburdening me of the burden of past two days!
Meeting a bull on the way.
Reminding me of what wise man said…
Whispering one's wish in its ear,
considered a good omen!
Dare not I do with what was alive
So I chanted, what had been my favourite song aloud…
It looked surprisingly at me,
as to what it is and what has come along!
Another halt at morning walk,
a temple in front of which I usually stand still!
Felt 30 or more pigeons flying overhead
and perching on wet lines again, as rain stopped…
Heard my mother calling out to me
With a blue umbrella in her hand,
“Where have you been, and are you all wet?”
I smiled back to her and said,
“it was a blessing that it poured,
for it healed me of unwanted pain, that has overgrown!”
As we walked together…
I noticed the tiny bubbles, on her upper lips!
Lucky moment it was,
to be bestowed with blessing by two mothers at once!
Sun came out; tearing off the sinister clouds
It looked glorious, spreading the golden aura of its own…
As it shone, engulfing me in circle divine
“Blessed you be, and blessed you remain, My Girl!”
Is what I felt, he must have blessed me with Love!
