Healing Friend!

  A friend, dear and close
one who makes you smile and laugh!
Sharing small tidbits of life
of all that was happy around!

Kids who left memories fond
sometimes, pinching the cheeks
sometimes the nose it was!
Soulful eyes the soul observed!

Dancing and laughing in mirth
“Best you are,” they said!
Punctuating with loving kisses to the face
Hugging and hanging close,
jumped on soul, if they wished!

The elder one best complement she gave
“I look like you,” leaving speechless, the soul
of what was deep down, a thought…
It was as if always obvious to her!

Memories numerous to hold back
But, on thinking what is it they saw?
A friend fondly retorts, “Teddy you look!
Don’t you know!"

The soul mirthfully had laughed,
One, which had cried once!
Life is after all not that bad
when you have friends, who love and care!

“Teddy! Why Teddy?” it asked!
Look at the mirror and you will know…
Well, mirror doesn’t tell me anything
for the soul never asked, what it saw!

The friend finally said
soft, loving and sensitive you are!
Easy to be with, if you chose…
A friend: pampering, kind and sweet!
Gave lifetime solace to this lost soul!
