Children and Class: A Moment

Bubbles of gleeful smiles bursting around
Study is fun, as they dive deep into what they have learned!

A pretty damsel, calligraphy she excels in
Adorable and focused, she is I found!

In retrospection, another dame shyly smiles
Intelligent she is, sharping her shrapnel
gets immersed in question headlong!

Eyes rolling up, she tries to recall of what she had learned
Bewildered at times, yet helpful to her friends,
Sleep her favorite hang out, is what I have found!

Alice! I had noticed in class,
making faces a lovely endure!

Musical DJ, his wish a sing-song
Emotional, gentle and adorable
Decency a trait, musically hums around!

Silent yet true and honest
is a boy of art, I found!
Color is his life, Color he spreads around!

Last but not the least…Is the boy of hearts!
Twisting words to spread smile,
Is a wonder and trait, no doubt!
A Child: Kind and Compassionate he is
Dreams of making his own destiny!

As a teacher, what can I wish...
for children as loving and adorable as them!
Blessed they be, and bless they remain
Is what my heart will sing on!

  1. Each child within a classroom displays different emotions found on their faces and heard in their voices and shrieks of excitement! Some children may even sit looking blankly without emotion. Do you know why that is? Because they are board. They may be advanced and need to be moved on in to a more advanced class. Oh, that was my face as a child. Teachers pay attention. Make sure that these children are tested to rule out any medical issues. You may have a genius sitting before you. These children need to be moved on and not kept looking board and just lost in space staring while making up stories in their heads lost in a World of fantasy. When moved on, these children displaying board faces find themselves in a world of enlightenment and excitement! A child like this becomes one of these children seen in the picture and talked about in this poem. They gleefully and joyfully follow their bliss and some have knowledge that can be shared even teaching their teacher and then the teachers face begins to change as she/he awakens learning something new! Isn't it fun and exciting to learn something new? Arati, your writing's often make me think and take me back through time and events of my own life. I love you, my friend
